The Power of Your Praise
I am so excited to share this with you! I recently had a dream where a major prophet laid hands on my head and said, "You need more praise," three times and I felt the power of God invading my head and it felt like the oil of joy was being poured from the prophet's hands unto my head. It was amazing!
I woke up from that dream knowing that Papa was showing me that PRAISE was the answer to my prayer for more joy and so many other things. As I've been obedient and taking mini praise breaks throughout the day my heart is being completely transformed! I feel stronger, more relaxed, excited about life, and just an overall since of peace. Also, there is a laughter in me that is deep that comes bubbling out every time I think about how awesome He is. Praise trains our hearts and enlightens our hearts to see God. It purifies. The Bible says only the pure in heart see God! Matthew 5:8.
Praise is the gateway, the door, to enter into the fullness of all that God is! It is so powerful, it will change your life. The right perspective always does. I declare right now that by reading this you are also entering through this door and receiving that right perspective. God is a God of laughter, joy, and rejoicing--having a heart of praise towards Him get's you looking more and more like who He is! There is POWER in PRAISE!
Here are a few more things that praise does:
Get's our minds on the true nature of God, which is that He is GOOD and He is LOVE.
It forces us to relax because our minds are off of us and our circumstances. (Isaiah 26:3)
It rejoices our hearts because God inhabits our praise and there is fullness of joy in His presence. (Psalm 22:3)
It strengthens us because the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
I've experienced all of these things and more by being intentional about praising our God. I've taken only two steps to be intentional:
Stop whatever I'm doing every other hour;
For about 5-15 minutes, I praise Him for (1) being who He is, for (2) doing what He's done for me and my family, for (3) Our future together.
I encourage you to be intentional about thinking good things about God, it shouldn't be hard because He's really awesome, and speak those things out of your mouth. I guarantee an immediate turn around, upgrade, shifting...whatever it is you're believing for to happen! Tag you're it! Go ahead and get your PRAISE on!!
