Okay I know you’re like “get to the Porn Makes You POOR thing.” Okay let’s talk about it…
I was watching a teaching by Shawn Bolz on how to receive a prophetic word and he mentioned in that teaching, you can find it on YouTube, that the part of our brain that is active/stimulated when watching porn exists in the same area in the brain we learn to develop relationship connections AND…get this…our entrepreneurial creativity to form new ideas and business structure!!
He was referencing Dr. Caroline Leaf, who is a neuroscientist in love with Jesus. She teaches on how the Bible is true when it says that we can renew our mind, that we can in fact change the physical structure of our brains and make it healthier. She has written several books, and I read her very first book “Who Switched Off My Brain?” It’s a really good read and very practical. It’s a little nerdy, but I have a degree in Biology and my favorite class was Neurobiology. J
So porn creates toxic neuro-pathways that darken, damages and weakens the brain’s ability to cre
ate and be entrepreneurial! When I heard this it I literally wrote in my journal “OH MY GOODNESS!!” It was so obviously true. Individuals who are chronic porn watchers have no drive, no ambition, and no ability to create and own anything. They are like hermits and it’s like they’re walking around in a cloud, because they actually are! A dark cloud of confusion and apathy. It’s such a plot of the enemy because he knows it’s our birthright to be owners, to be creators, to be innovative. If satan can get you hooked on porn, he can steal your future.
For all of my readers who struggle with porn I hope this gave you an anger toward porn like it did for me, but more importantly practical anger. Anger not just for you but for your family and friends. Porn wants to steal our ability to create wealth and leave an inheritance for children’s children. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! The enemy has been so exposed and there’s no way after reading this and watching what Shawn talks about that you’ll be able to comfortable sit and let porn steal from you anymore.
